Soar 2017

Smithers, BC - Spirit of Adventure Rendezvous 2017

West Coast Area girls and Guiders had a wonderful time at Soar 2017 - Twenty Guide/Pathfinder patrols and 3 full and 2 half patrols of Rangers.

Here we have WCA girls settling in (each subcamp has its own colour hat), a WCA patrol boarding the plane for camp and some of our Guiders working hard! Vicki, Toki, Josephine and Sarah

Soar is over now and our girls and Guiders are home. Memories of new and old friends, songs, outings, hikes, crafs, camping and adventures of all sorts will last in our minds. Thank you to the town of Smithers, all our Guiders, parents, merchants and volunteers for making this wonderful camp possible.

Soar 2014

We sent six buses and two gear trucks, we survived a huge storm with thunder and lightning and we spent time in the sunshine. Our girls and Guiders joined about 2500 girls and leaders from all over BC, Canada and the world. Soar is our BC large camp and happens every three years in a different part of BC. We have had Soars in Prince George, Sooke, Trail, Merritt, Parksville and Agassiz and Enderby.
