Hollyburn Open Bookings: Oct 2, 2018

Peak Season bookings for Hollyburn will be open to all Guiding Units (Guide age or older) on Tuesday, October 2.

As you may already know, those who volunteered for the Work Weekend have received advance bookings. But there are some great options left, especially for creative camp organizers! Can you swing a spring break outing? Or weekdays during the winter break? Post-Christmas outing? Pro-D days? Thinking of a single snowshoeing day in and around the cabin neighbourhood?

Check out the booking calendar below.

Then call the booking agent at 604 838-8828 at 10 am (and not before) on Tuesday, October 2.

Bookings will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

History of Hollyburn Chalet

Hollyburn Chalet is a one of a kind heritage log chalet a short hike from the Cypress Park Road and high up on Hollyburn Mountain. The Hollyburn Chalet which has given so much fun for so many girls over the years was leased in 1963 by the Burnaby Girl Guides and purchased in 1965. The building is much older and has a colourful history. Click here for a history of the Hollyburn Chalet.

Who Can Attend?

Because girls must pack all their own gear into Hollyburn Chalet, including bedroll, winter weight clothing, and supplies—and because snow conditions vary — this camp is not appropriate for girls under Guide age, or Girl Guides and Guiders who are inexperienced campers.

We do not accept overnight bookings for Brownies or Sparks. However, day trips for lunch or snow outings can be arranged as availability allows.

Please note, Hollyburn Chalet cannot be rented out to school, family, or any other outside groups / events due to insurance reasons.
